AVOCADOS HAVE BECOME THE NEW GO-TO FOOD FOR BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER

Did you know that an Avocado is a Fruit? 

Yes it is, and it packs high nutritional value.  It comes from the Avocado tree known as . There are many types and sizes of Avocados – kidney bean or pear shape to round and colors green to black and can weigh up to 3 pounds!  Most fruits consist of carbohydrates but the Avocado is high FAT – healthy fat!!  Avocados have a rich texture and great flavor and are known as a super food as they contain more than 20 different vitamins and minerals, are high in fiber and have more potassium than a Banana!!

They are loaded with powerful antioxidants that protect against eye disease like macular degeneration and cataracts.  Avocados can lower cholesterol and triglycerides and lower blood pressure, relieve symptoms of arthritis and help in weight loss by keeping you full longer.  They decrease your risk for many diseases.

You can have avocado toast for breakfast, add them to a salad for lunch or dinner or eat plain as a snack or make guacamole – the most popular use of the Avocado.  So Happy Eating!!
